Outdoor (kids optional) Day

Hello BOLD babes!

Let’s talk about how to have an eco-friendly beach or park day. 

Our entire philosophy is on making life better, and easier, while being a better environmental citizen. What we’ve found is that a little preparation can go a long way, and in the end, will save you time. Luckily for you, we’ve already done most of the research! So here are out outdoor go-to’s:

 

  • Snacks
    • We love these easy, 5 ingredient, no-bake granola bars
      • Ingredients
        • 1 cup almond butter
        • 1/4 cup honey
        • 2 cups oats (quick cook)
        • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
        • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
      • pro tip: add less honey, and you’ll be making a fantastic breakfast granola
    • Clementines/Oranges
      • nature pre-wrapped these bad boys, so no plastic necessary! 

 

  • Beverages
    • Just Water
    • Toast 
    • Juice boxes
      • surprise surprise! juice boxes can actually be recycled. You’ll need to double check with your local recycling plant, but as of 2015, most plants have a “commingling” section
      • OR, prep and pour your juice of choice in these reusable juice boxes

 

 

 

  • Towel/blanket
    • we are currently LOVING our surfertowel.com and, of course, my tried and true cotton turkish towel (I’ve had this for years and the tag has worn off, but I’ll link another great company for you… Coyuchi)
